Amanda Nothando is an ambitious young vibrant lady behind the Edmonton based Film Production Company known as Monumental Arts Network. She is an artistically gifted, powerful, and confident actress, media personality and entertainer with a keen eye for all things amazing (TN included). People famously know her for her distinct laugh, exquisite fashion sense and hosting red carpet events but most importantly, for her Talk Show on YouTube, ‘The Amanda Nothando Show’ which was launched 2017. The Talk Show focuses on the untold struggles as well as the success of entrepreneurship and dream chasing which she simply calls “Finding Your Purpose”. She believes that everyone has a story and it can motivate someone out there.
Phina Brooks is a filmmaker & a TV producer. She’s passionately focused on telling the African story. She has produced several films, music videos, TV shows & several documentaries each telling the African story from an African perspective. Before moving to canada over 2 decades ago, Phina was an actress, model and a producer. She’s one of the pioneers of Nollywood (the Nigeria film industry). Her zest for life and living to her full potential is undeniably infectious. Phina is the host of Afro-X a national tv show on the Omni channel which showcases African culture, food & entertainment weekly. Phina is also a community leader who’s very active in various community organizations in Calgary & around Canada. Her passion for focusing on telling the African story comes from a desire in showcasing the many contributions of Africans that often go untold in the mainstream media. She continues to encourage Africans to tell their stories because Phina believes in the African adage that states, “if the lion does not tell it’s own story, the hunt will always glorify the hunter.” One of Phina’s proud initiatives is her summer film camp where she teaches the art of filmmaking to youths in the community.
Quinloho is an Event/Show planner, Motivational speaker and MC. She is the No. 1 female MC in Edmonton for the last 5 years. Quinloho studied Mass Communication at Delta State University (DELSU). Quinloho has emceed at top Nigerian artiste’s event/shows in Alberta, Canada such as the Famous P-Square, Davido, Timaya, Iyanya, Meiway, Kiss Daniel, Mr Eazi etc and Top Nigerian comedians including Basketmouth and Bovi.
She is one of the MC for the Afro-Canadian Heroes Event. Her humor and experience makes her the perfect host for a broad range of events and clientele. She can take your fundraiser, event, showcase or dinner and emcee it to within an inch of its life!
As an Emcee she won the 2011 Miss Africa appreciation award, African Entertainment award best MC in 2015 (Canada), Best Mc at the Afro- canadian Heroes in Edmonton 2015, Obsidian award best promoter 2016. Her goal is to someday open her own Sickle Cell Association in Warri, Nigeria. Where she can help people and impact lives.
